Lake Louise, which takes its name from the nearby lake named after Queen Victoria’s daughter, has a population of around 1,000 people, making it one of the smaller places to stay in Banff National Park. It’s only 35 miles away from Banff along Highway 1.

The main Lake Louise community, known as The Village, grew up around the beautiful Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1), making it easy to access the mountains and the rest of Banff National Park. The Village has a small shopping centre, where you can pick up food, drinks as well stock up on all the new sports gear.
