Everyone remembered us and provided a very warm experience for our honeymoon. We opted for the dinner kaiseki which had so many courses full of seasonal freshness, textures, and tastes. The onsen was a very relaxing experience as well. It was a very nice location to stay at while exploring Kyoto. We appreciated the relaxing atmosphere of the countryside. There is also a small town area near the ryokan which provided a few dining and shipping options. It is 100% worth it for the private onsen with the stunning views alone. My partner and I had a wonderful time just spending the evening in our room. It’s right beside all the main tourist attractions of the area so they’re all walkable and the bus stop is right beside the hotel making it easily accessible. The staff is also very kind and goes out of the way to ensure the best service. The traditional beds were a bit hard to sleep on per western standards but the rest of the room made up for it.
