Excellent location, walking distance to metro station and bus stop. Walking distance to Nishiki market and Gion. Location is surrounded by vegetarian restaurants. Feeling safe walking in late night; many convenient stores like 7 Eleven around. Hotel breakfast is delicious, menu changes daily. Room is clean, very good drinking water. Reception staff are helpful.

I stayed for three nights and had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location was very convenient, with easy access to the trains and plenty of places within walking distance. Everything was easy to navigate, and I had a great time overall. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

Room was clean and not too small like other hotels. Staff is nice. Didn’t have breakfast but their dining hall was always packed in the morning so it must’ve been good. The greatest part about this hotel is the location to popular places is Kyoto. It was very easy to navigate and Nishiki market is very close. A lot of shopping areas nearby. Super convenient.

Great location. The air conditioner worked great. Showers had great power but they were having issues having hot water which didn't bother us because of all the running around outside we did & being so hot, so it felt great. The staff was great!

Our room was surprisingly spacious (we had the deluxe double room). They had a lot of amenities and the staff was very friendly. The location is perfect, too! Easy to reach via the subway from Kyoto Station. You can walk to Nishiki Market and Gion. And there are a lot of shops, bars, and cafés in the area. Also nearby there are a few bus stops from where you can reach the big sights like Arashiama for example. Would 100% recommend this hotel!

Had a great stay at Sotetsu in Kyoto. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always helpful and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. I also appreciated the thoughtful little extras like complimentary face masks and other small amenities that added a nice touch. The included breakfast was a big plus too — convenient and a great way to start the day. Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality and attention to detail. I would definitely book again when I get the chance.
