You cannot find better service and staff in all of Japan. However, the only complaint is for Americans. The breakfast is very Japanese and very limited. Also very crowded on the weekends. If you want to use the pool, you need to make an appointment for 60 minutes and the pool is always very crowded with families and children. Also, the hotel is 30 minutes away from where everything happens in Kyoto. So you should expect to be taking taxis everywhere. Would rate 10 stars if I could. The staff saw I was alone at dinner and brought over some books and reading material. The worst part, was leaving.
