It is a short walk from the Kyoto Station (10-15 minutes). There are several 7-11's located in the area so you can grab food/drinks. The hotel also has a restaurant/bar located in the lobby/common area. The staff was friendly and assisted us with any questions we had. They provided us with amenities such as toiletries, fresh towels daily, and water. The rooms are newer and the bathroom was new and had a nice shower/tub. We really enjoyed the space, we have stayed at plenty of hotels throughout Japan and this room had more room than other places which helps when you are traveling with a family. Tge neighborhood was quiet which was nice not hearing the cars and city life. This room provided us more than enough space for each of us. The tatami area is spacious that we could lay 4 futons + the table with sitting for tea in there. Sliding doors provide privacy from the bedding and tatami areas. So, my husband and I could sleep without feeling like 6 people in a room. Also, the bathroom is nice and big. I could bath in an American standard bathtub each day. I loved it! Downside is that there is nothing in the area so you need to spend quite a bit of time travelling to the tourist attractions. The hotel is located in a quiet area within a 10-min walk from the main Kyoto station. There is plenty of convenience stores, restaurants and a large mall within walking distance. We also found the park 2mins walk great give our kids a run around at (the aquarium is next to the park too). The room itself was spacious with a good layout. It had lots of great amenities and comfy beds. There is a small cafe and restaurant on the lobby but we never used it as the cafe didn’t open until 11 (even for coffee).
