But as a hotel it was great !! Clean and cleaned every day clean towels , sheets, a Great jacuzzi tub and a good shower . Everything you could want in a room. Big bed , big screen tv , karaoke and a fridge , microwave , a stand up fan good , and good air conditioning . Honestly its an amazing room for the price . I loved the hotel but the area isn’t as convenient for travelers. I booked this room pretty last minute and most hotels were sold out in Kyoto. And the price wasn't that unreasonable given most hotels in the city were sold out so I can't complain too much. The rooms are spacious and reasonably comfortable. The staff's English is okay. No non-smoking rooms available for us so that was difficult for non-smokers. This room is set up for adult couples with extra large bathrooms, couple size tubs & such. It looks like this place will rent by the hour & there is a Hitachi massager in every room! Our room was gorgeous! Big huge tub in large bath/shower area. The main problem is that it's quite a distance from downtown Kyoto. It was about $27 to take a taxi one way from Kyoto station. From downtown Kyoto it was about $40 one way. If you took the subway to the nearest station it still cost about $15 from the subway station to the hotel. The nearest train station was much closet costing about $10 from the train station. The only other problem is that no-one spoke English and we had a couple of issues that were a slight challenge to resolve. Also, there really isn't a "front desk" per se. You go to the front desk and have to ring and then someone comes out from the back to help you. But overall it was a good experience.
