About this property

Trailhead Cottage - 7 Minutes to Downtown

  • Step into Trailhead Cottage — a freshly remodeled Tudor-style retreat tucked in the heart of South Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness. Here, adventure and charm collide. Just one block from Baker’s Creek Preserve, you’ll have instant access to miles of world-class biking and hiking trails, kayaking spots, and endless outdoor fun. Craving city vibes? Downtown Knoxville, the University of Tennessee campus, and lively Gay Street are only 7 minutes away.

South Knoxville (or SoKno, as the locals call it) is buzzing with eclectic breweries, foodie gems, and a laid-back boho vibe. Walk to neighborhood favorites like SoKno Taco, Crafty Bastard Brewery, or 71 South — a restored church serving up soulful Southern dishes. Need essentials? A corner market is right around the bend.

    What You’ll Love:
✧ (4) TVs including kids TV nook with cozy bean bag chairs upstairs
✧ Deep private driveway—room for 4 cars, trailer, camper, or RV
✧ Plush sleeping arrangements: King and Queen beds
✧ Full kitchen + washer & dryer for convenience
✧ Smart TV - access to your favorite streaming channels Netflix, Prime, HBO & more (bring your login)
✧ Cyclist-friendly perks: bike shed, tools, and wash station

    Good to Know:
Trailhead Cottage was built in 1930, which means character—and quirks! The stairs to the second floor are steep, and upstairs ceilings are low (7’ high). It’s cozy for kids, but taller guests or those with mobility needs may prefer the two first-floor bedrooms for easier access.

Whether you’re chasing trails, brewery hopping, or soaking in Knoxville’s local charm, Trailhead Cottage is your stylish home base for it all.

Whether you’re chasing trails, chasing flavors, or simply chasing a peaceful escape, Trailhead Cottage puts it all within reach.

The host was fabulous and gave us ideas of places to go and to eat. She was so helpful and nice. This house is beautiful. So well appointed. The coffee bar was fantastic. The back yard was a dream. We loved the way the house was decorated. It was nice and quiet and we slept so good. We walked to the deli for breakfast, fabulous, and to an outstanding resteraunt for dinner.
