"Great hotel, old building but stunning. Couldn’t be any more central in city. Staff cheerful and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic, great choice. Stayed 1 night and defo would use hotel again."

"Slaley is a grand hotel, outdated in parts, but don't let this put you off. Check in was quick, room spacious and clean. Nice view over looking the driveway. Bars were good and not to expensive. Breakfast was ok,food was fine, but kept running bout. lots of guests and the coffee machines kept running out aswell. Leisure facilities were good, could do with more loungers, but its finding places to put them. Overall had a good might away. Would stay again"

"Hotel has a lovely location right on the river and ideal for accessing Hadrian’s wall. Staff were very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast which was good especially after a full day of cycling."
