"Ballathie is in a lovely setting. We awoke to a beautiful, sunny spring morning and had a stroll round the gardens before heading off home after breakfast. The day before, we'd had a delicious meal in the dining room. Room was good, bar was cosy, all in all a very nice place. "

"The steam room is nice. My check-in included choosing breakfast at 7:30am or 9:30am. I arrived on the moment for 9:30. Food in steam tray was either gone or had been there too long. I was made to feel I was the inconvenience. Dining rm thinks meal is between half 7 & half 9. Desk needs to be accurate b/cI would have preferred an 8:30 arrival for some berries!"

"Kept waiting over an hour to check in...shower enclosure drain did not smell good. I ordered flowers for my wifes special birthday abd asked them not to put lilies in as allergic, and they did ! They also forgot to present a happy birthday treat at dinner. Given the amount I paid this 2 day experience was very disappointing "

"We had an excellent one night stay at Craigatin House. Gary gave us a very warm welcome and a detailed and helpful check-in experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were encouraged to make use of the lounge with a cosy fire and complimentary whiskies during our stay. The room was very clean, well-decorated, comfortable and spacious, with a great selection of teas and coffee, and also wine glasses and a corkscrew. There are lovely views from room 9! Breakfast was very enjoyable, with prompt friendly service and many delicious options. The house is set a short walk away from Pitlochry town centre, and has a very peaceful setting with a lovely garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Many thanks to Gary and his team for a superb experience! "
