Backwater Reservoir Viewpoint

The hotel is in a lovely location, the room and amenities very good and the staff helpful, the meal was excellent.

Arrived at hotel early evening. Had problems from beginning i.e. trying to log in to pay for parking, enquiries re breakfast. Staff do not know anything about parking, restaurant and leisure facilities as they are all owned separately. Have stayed here often over previous years but sadly it has gone downhill. However, the room was clean, bed and bedding was very comfortable and bathroom/shower came with soap and toiletry sachets. We didn't get breakfast as it didn't look worth paying £14. We won't be returning to what was once a wonderful hotel with great staff.
