Lakeside Hotel & Spa

Lakeside Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good
"Nice hotel. Great seating outside on the lake and in conservatory- would be better if more seating in conservatory. Pub/bar area itself is very dark and dingy. Seats outside the bar area were nice but not enough - some of the drinks were dear -£16 for a large wine! Food in brasserie was nice and staff nice too. Parking free at the hotel and very close to the lake boats snd train. Lovely place near the lake and would stay there again if in area."

Chequers Lodge

Chequers Lodge

8/10 Good
"We were travelling for a wedding in Ulverston and wanted a self-catering option so went with this one. It's actually a lot lovelier in person. The buildings are well laid out (room was very easy to find), plenty of parking options, easy to follow check-in instructions. Correspondence with owner was easy, very responsive and helpful. Room was lovely and cosy. Surrounding area is nice, peaceful."

Duke Of Edinburgh Hotel

Duke Of Edinburgh Hotel

8/10 Good
"The Duke of Edinburgh hotel was a gem. I don’t know the history of the building but it’s older; that doesn't mean bad. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, or at least ours was. It was one of the best rooms we’ve had on our trip. We also had dinner and a breakfast while there and the food at the restaurant/pub was excellent. It’s a short walk from the train station and I would recommend it for your stay."
