For accommodation with only 4 rooms this hotel offers every facility that ten plus room establishments do. We stayed in the annex and I was not only impressed with the standard of the room finish but also the added extras , like bone china cups, bottled water and slippers provided. The food was all freshly prepared and made to order by the in house chef and every dish was cooked to perfection.

Idea for a single person exploring the south-western Lake District.

Beautiful cottage with a lot of space outside, a seating area by the stream, a great location near Millom and other Lake District locations, and a hot tub! (Note: The hot tub use is an additional £40 flat fee, which was unmentioned on Hotel.com listing, but is on the official Sykes Cottage page)

I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. No noisy dining room nor rush to have table cleared away. All was at our pace which was what we wanted. Amazing experience. Fantastic staff and customer service, very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Cream tea was freshly prepared and scones still warm. Room was amazing with a beautiful lake view. Homemade shortbread in the room was a lovely touch. Breakfast was also amazing, lovely fry-up with good quality ingredients. Hard to access carpark on site. Very cramped entrance on a major slope and limited parking space. We were met on arrival after ringing doorbell by woman who wasn't very friendly. She asked us how we managed to get into reception as we apparently shouldn't have been able as door should have been locked or closed. We stayed in this lovely guest house for two nights as we were attending a family funeral. We arrived at about 3pm on the first day and were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where everything was and showed us to our room.
