Most places within a half an hour walk too. Hotel itself was very clean and tidy, room was a decent size and staff very polite. Check in is at 3 and when we arrived early, they processed our infirmary and stored our luggage but checking if the room was available to go to earlier didn't seem to be an option (although that seems to be a general way of doing things in many hotels in Japan). The area was high end surrounded by Gucci, Rolex, and other high end stores. Lots of different types of bars from classy lounges to fantastic hole in the wall places. Everyone is friendly and the staff was amazing. Rooms were big, bed was huge and comfortable. It is completely surrounded by temples and shrines and the castle is a short walk away.
