Hotel Patina is a unique place to stay. The staff are always available. The location is on the outskirts of Ishigaki town. The bathroom was tight, but manageable. Breakfast was well done with kitchen attendants ready to help.

Solid choice smaller hotel
A short walk (7 minutes) from both the main shopping area and the port, the Patina makes a good base. The rooms are pleasant though not spacious. Well equipped. Remove shoes before entering room. Pajamas supplied. Washing machines and detergent free, charge for dryer. Free mouthwash and other toiletries. High level of eco awareness - perks offered for skipping daily towel/sheets changing. Good breakfast buffet. Free parking. Helpful staff.

Too bad our room was facing a wall
Bed was too hard and our room was facing a well so no view at all. Overall service was good, cozy small hotel and convenient. Special thanks to the lady at front desk who was very helpful on booking our fishing trip.

I had positive experiences at this hotel. The staff was very professional and polite. Room was small, but it was very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Their free toiletry kit was way more than what I expected. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.

Nice east meets west
A basic hotel which offers the necessary amenities and services for a good value. Located in the tourist area of town, but 5 minutes walk away from the hustle bustle part of the port, it is quiet at night. Standard Japanese room size (small) but very clean and well kept. Free bike loaners are available and the breakfast is a combination of Japanese and western fares. The staff spoke sufficient English, and were helpful with directions and eating recommendations. Politely asks for guests to remove shoes in room (good).

Great location to ferry and excellent breakfast.
Great staff support. The manager speaks English well. His recommendation to Iriomote was excellent. We took his advice and had a great day in Iriomote. The hotel was in a convenient location walking to downtown and the ferry port. Would highly recommend this hotel for those who likes self guided tour around the islands.

It is a good hotel have essential facilities. But the size of room is a bit small. But overall, my stay was comfortable. It has some strong points. Bicycle are avaliable for borrow free of charge for six hours. Luggage delivery service is avaliable. Staff are very nice. Also some staff can speak Engish.

Great for the price!
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. My parents had a twin room and I had a single room. They were both the same size which means mine felt way more spacious the theirs a little thight. You could choose if you wanted to have your room cleaned or not and if you didn't you gained points which could be exchanged for a gift at the end of your stay. An interesting system I thought but it was fun. The staff was really helpful but didn't seem to speak much english (I can speak basic Japanese). They helped us rent a car when most places where full and helped us find restaurants. The location is a bit out of the way of restaurants so you have to walk a minimum of 10 minutes. Nevertheless, it is still convenient and very close to the port if you wish to take a tour and see Taketomi island, Iriomote island etc. I highly recommend the water buffalo tours! Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Good "home base" for touring Ishigaki
Hotel Patina Ishigakijima, is located about 10 minute easy walk from the bus station. It makes a good base for touring the area. This hotel is clean, quiet, cheerful and family friendly. The beds are a bit hard, but after asking for a second pillow much more comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered quite a variety for a small, budget hotel. The staff spoke some English so they were able to help with any questions we had. Many shops and restaurants were only a short walk away. We would definately choose this hotel if we were in the area again.

A lovely hotel in a good location.
When visiting Ishigaki, I was braced for my hotel to be a bit more basic than those on the Japanese mainland. However, once I arrived there, I was happy to find that I had underestimated this lovely little hotel. The hotel has free parking which, perhaps because I visited in low season, was always available. Once inside, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. This hotel also has some nice touches which I did not expect: free bottled water available at reception, breakfast included (though this is very basic and I would suggest going to the patisserie across the road instead!) and in-room wifi. The condition of the room was excellent and ample for the needs of one person (it was a single room). The location is also great - being 10 mins walk from the ferry to the islands and 10 mins walk from the busier parts of town, where the restaurants/bars are located. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again.

The location is good, just 8 mins walking away from the pier. The staff were very helpful and gave us good suggestion to visit Ishigaki. The room was clean and tidy. Though the restaurant was cosy, I would say the home-made feel breakfast was really good.

Stayed 3 nights. enough. We went 4 days after in iriomote. Breakfast ok Everything ok Rented for 2 days a car (3 000 jy per day) ( i had international permit) to discover Island. Good snorkeling only one beach (by car). Or book with a tour boat for snorkeling in harbour (5 min) 0ne girl talks english a little Washing machine free!! Cool! Small bed!

Good little place; very handy for the ferry terminal at 5-6 minutes walk which made for easy island hopping. Rooms and beds were a reasonable size for such a place in Japan - we didn't feel confined despite two of us in the room. Good facilities with free bike rental - makes it easier to explore the town particularly when looking for dinner. Free washing machine use too with a little balcony for drying clothes too (tumble dryers available if it's wet). It turned out breakfast was included. I enjoyed my stay at Patina.

離島ターミナルやユーグレナモールまで徒歩10分くらいで立地が良いです(^^) 無料のレンタサイクルもあり、自転車だとすぐに繁華街へ出れます。 ホテルのスタッフさんみなさんとても親切だし、24時間飲み放題のキンキンに冷えたさんぴん茶やホットコーヒーなどあり、とても助かりました！ 洗濯機もあって、洗剤も無料で置いてあります(^^)ハンガーやピンチ等も貸していただけ、大変助かりました。 また石垣に行く事があれば、是非利用させていただきたいです。

思い出に残る旅になりました
コロナ自粛中でしたが夏休みという事で強行して2泊3日でお世話になりました。 従業員の方々皆さんとても感じ良く対応してくれました。 ランドリーは24時間使用可能で洗剤、柔軟剤も小分けで無料提供で家族旅行で水着、服など洗い物が多く出るのでとても助かりました。 エントランスにある、ハーブティーやお茶もティーポットに入れ部屋に持ち込めたのがとても嬉しかったです。 スプーン、茶器全て個包装になっており感染予防も全て行き届いているなぁと感じました。 またお値段もとても格安で、また是非利用させていただきたいと思いました。 ありがとうございました。

コロナ対応はバッチリでした
