"The Hotel is set within the sprawling grounds which includes a wonderfully maintained golf course despite the current heatwave conditions. I was warmly greeted when checking in and got a lot of steps in getting to my room but was rewarded with a room with a view of the course and everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I used the onsite gym which had new equipment in great working condition which provided a good sweat and pump. I decided to dine elsewhere with Reading being only a few miles away. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a well-needed night's rest with breakfast options being varied allowing for a great start to the day. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was impeccable."

"Good hotel with nice amenities. The breakfast was good as was dinner. We forgot to empty our safe before check-out so we called and the front desk was so helpful. The only downside is that we needed a taxi each time we went to town as the hotel is about 4 miles away from town. Beautiful ride coming into town past the school and fields ."

"Overall a good experience. We upgraded to a deluxe room as our original room had no a/c ( which I find odd for a modern hotel). The upgrade was definitely worth it; a bigger room, nice free minibar and Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine. The hotel was nice and quiet and had a relaxing feel. Staff were friendly if not super service minded however, this did not detract from the experience. Food selection was adequate but not mind blowing - the burger was very nice. The setting was lovely as was the surrounding area."

"We occupied room 24, where we received a warm welcome from the hotel staff. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and supportive. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was satisfactory. However, the toilet closet was not entirely clean from the previous guest's use. I reported this to the staff, who promptly came to the room to conduct their checks. They returned to inform me that it was a stain on the side rather than dirt. I did not want to impose further, as they were very kind and approachable. I returned to the room and cleaned the toilet myself before using it. We enjoyed a pleasant breakfast, and my son particularly liked their breakfast menu. Overall, the staff were very kind and approachable, making it a good place to stay. The customer service is trustworthy.Also,they valued people of every ethnicity and interacted with them respectfully."

"hotel was ideally situated. Parking was available at an additional charge. You could walk to the shops and restaurants. The cathedral was literally next to the hotel.Would stay again."
