Overnight Stay

Posted 21-Jan-2017
We were in search of a hotel to stay in Long Island since we had a funeral in the area. This hotel was the perfect choice It was clean, the beds were very comfortable and they provided a nice continental breakfast (nothing fancy) but we didn't need fancy. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Clean, easy access

Clean, decent breakfast, friendly staff. In town for a funeral, would recommend offering discount. Otherwise no problems.

Rooms were clean; beds were comfortable. Kitchen area was adequate for a short stay. Everything seems to be a little old, and in need of a "spruce up."

Not Comfortable...

Posted 25-Nov-2016
Maybe it was just us but we could not STAND the place. We walked in and first thing we noticed was the HORRIBLE smell. We just couldn't stand it and asked to change room. Staff was nice enough to change rooms for us so some points for that but they kept reminding us that the room was non-smoking (to the point where they called us to tell us again) even after we told them we don't smoke... anyhow, second room we go into still smelled terrible but what were we really to do at that point... we just took the room. Other than the smell we just found the place really uncomfortable and ... creepy. I have stayed at a lodge one other time and I understand it's not a hotel but it just wasn't something I could call a pleasant stay at all. Maybe it's because I come from NYC and have only stayed on the first floor one other time in my life (the other lodge I've visited once) but even comparing to the other lodge. I just didn't feel comfortable. Kinda felt like ... idk... like a storage room turned into a lodge...

Cute family friendly hotel

We only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely. The breakfast was skimpy but it was free so can't complain too much. Overall really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Location: Close to many restaurants. Nice neighborhood.
Very comfortable and well maintained. There was a mini sink and cooktop in our room. However, the fridge did not function. Beds were very nice abc bathroom looked recently updated. I would definitely stay again.

Cleanliness is most important

Posted 11-Nov-2016 on Hotels
The room was very clean, and no strange odors.. This is most important to me. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room though. One thing that bothered me was that 2 rooms down, I believe that they may house Section 8 individuals. The people in that room seemed to be engaging in suspicious activity. I'm not certain, but the woman with the fuchsia wig was visited by multiple gentleman callers. No proof, but it definitely looked out of place.
