From the point of booking, the owner of Vegga suites made contact with us and was very attentive. Even walked to greet us on arrival at 5am, made reservations at a restaurant he recommended and was in his words “at our disposal” during our stay in Crete even after we left Heraklion to move to our beach holiday.
Location wise, the suites are in a prime location to explore the historical areas in Heraklion and enjoy a bit of retail therapy while enjoying the Cretan culture and hospitality

Beautiful apartment, very modern, super clean, very well furnished and provided all required facilities for a very comfortable stay.
Location is brilliant, very central and surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants but quite inside the property even when the streets and bustling. Taxi ranks, bus stop and baggage storage all very nearby. Communication with staff was excellent. Loved it!

Fantastic, peaceful stay in the centre of the old town. Quick and friendly check in, lovely temperature in the room and super comfy bed. Would’ve liked water in the room.

Excellent stay! Amazing location - in the city centre within a few minutes walk to the Archeological museum, with lots or shops & restaurants around. The property itself is very charming, just how I like - refurbished in boutique style inter with authentic antique vibe. The staff is super friendly. Much more charming than a regular hotel or resort! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here - the staff answered messages quickly, and the room although basic had everything needed for a few nights stay including a small well equipped kitchen area (kettle, coffee machine, stove hob). Bathroom was small but perfectly useable. A bit more information about the area would be useful but that's what the internet is for. Check in was via a coded key pick up. The location is about 15 minutes walk from main areas of the town.

Although in an area that looks a tad run down, it's perfectly safe, and is within walking distance of most things including the centre and Morisini fountain.
Breakfast is superb, lots of choices.
There is some aircraft noise, as in all of Heraklion.

This hotel caters for all ages. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained in a good central location for all sightseeing needs. It has a blue flag beach and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas for all. There are 3 pools of varying sizes and 1 is heated, we went early season so none were crowded.
The food is buffet style plentiful, fresh and of a good variety so even after a week you have had a different meal every day. They are not that hot on getting deserts right though with the exception...

Stayed from 3/8/15 to 15/8/15, all inclusive. Great staff, great facilities, great location, hotel has private beach with a decent number of sunbeds. Although I have food allergies I could have a substantial meal at each sitting, chef being very helpful with advising as to ingredients of each dish. Whether you prefer the beach or the pool for lounging, get out there early as the hotel was predominantly occupied by French and German guests who seem to have an ethos of put your towel on the sunbed...

We arrived late in the evening, so couldn't really see much or explore. The next morning however - WOW, the hotel is situated on an outcrop of rock, the sea views are amazing and due to the location you can see and hear it from several parts of the complex.
The staff are really nice, helpful and happy, food was excellent, plentiful and tasty with a varied selection. Salads were cold and meat was hot - so all good there. Our room was spacious and clean, with a great sea view.
