"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. "Lovely traditional pub, nice rooms, clean and tidy and equipped with all the essentials. Good menu and helpful service in pub. I phoned ahead to advise of a late arrival (flight delayed) and they were kind enough to accept our food order after usual end of service time. We were most grateful. There's a pleasant outside seating area and lots of inside seating. Board games galore. Highly recommend. "

"As we expected the property was excellently presented. This was our second stay in the last two years and we will be staying here again. Both the hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Great location for everything we wanted to do during our stay. Local grocery store and several pubs are within a short walk. Chester is a short 10 minute drive. Manchester 30 mins away."
