"Easy access to tours"

"Overall, we had a good stay at Waikiki Resort Hotel. The biggest highlight is the location, it’s extremely convenient and just a short walk to the beach, which made everything very easy and enjoyable. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful throughout the stay. That said, the building itself feels a bit dated, and we experienced some issues with the toilet clogging twice, even though we only used the tissue provided by the hotel."

"A nice place to stay with amenities onsite and a convenient location but definitely a bit dated. It was busy with lots of families so if you're looking for calm and quiet, this isn't for you. "

"The infinity pool by itself makes this property worthwhile. The staff are super friendly, the restaurants on site are awesome. The only issue I had during my stay was checking in to the room having lots of dead gnats everywhere on the nightstand and in the bathroom. I understand this could be because of the influx of rain before our stay, but it was not ideal for a check in condition. I did call client services to let them know immediately, but that was all. "

"We stayed in the tower with rhe construction and noticed that on Friday morning they started well before 9am (the start time on the letter left in the room). Besides that all staff members except the one i spoke to on the phone were nice. They don't provide robes or slippers. The bathroom has a bidet which was amazing. Its a 2 minute walk to the beach. A 10-15min walk to the centre of the strip (around Island Vintage Cafe). The lighting in the room is brutal and the lamp near the beds only had one plug so you had to share the plug to charge your stuff. The only other outlet is near the TV or in the bathroom. "

"Fantastic locatio, walkable to downtown Kona shops and restaurants. Great view and restaurant. Nice warm pool. Grounds and hallways, etc, were immaculate. Parking was across the street. Everyone was very pleasant. Rooms were large. The only reason why I didn't give a 5-star review is because our room smelled of mold. As a mold sensitive person, this was too much exposure for me over our 2 nights--likely due to carpeting and the humidity."

"We were disappointed in our room - the ocean view was only if you were on the balcony, otherwise it was a city view. The room itself had seen better days. We were in the alohilani tower - tried to go to the pool on 5 but access was closed and we were directed to the swell tower for access. Too much trouble for us. There was no lobby bar - maybe because Morimoto was closed for repairs, and the Momosan restaurant was outside. The drive up appeal was lovely. The pool was busy - the music was pumping. Not our jam but seemed popular. We did enjoy the complimentary beach gear provided by Beach Candy a couple blocks away and the beach itself was good. I guess $500 a night doesn’t buy what we were expecting. Kudos to the young employee who encountered us getting off the elevator and showed us our room and explained the amenities - he was the best part of our stay!"
