"Nice hotel very close to Harrogate centre. The room I had was a family room and looked out onto the lawn at the back - so it was nice and quiet and secluded. It's a very traditional hotel - the main social areas could do with a refurbish, but it was still a great stay. Would stay here again."

"Our booking was made in February 2026 and we arrived to find we were not staying in the hotel but in an adjacent building 100 yards away which housed apartments. The weekend was to celebrate my 80th birthday and luckily I am sufficiently agile to overcome the steps getting into the apartment.
It could possibly have been more convenient and cheaper to have booked a nearby travel lodge."
"Amazing stay at The Inn South Stainley. I booked this stay as a surprise for my husband for his birthday and my birthday being the week after. We’d planned to visit the tractor show at Newby hall so was ideally located. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. They even left a birthday message and treat in our room which was greatly appreciated. The food for dinner and breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely return in future."
