Crown Hotel Harrogate

"We stayed for 4 nights at The Crown and relly enjoyed it.Sept.22-25. We booked jast minutte and managed to secure the last room.Very spacios room with usual facilities,no vie from window worth talking about,but hey!Roomwas worm with no heating on.All nice and clean,sserviced daily. We dined in the restaurant,full English etc.available.SEvening meals were excellent,same menu all week,but enough choice to stisfy.Don t know whether vegan/vegetarian available.Staff were friendly and helpful(I have a severe visual impairment) Loved the hotels position in town."

"A very old Hotel which showed signs of it, easy parking and within walking distance to Harrogate. I travelled on my own with my dog and would have been good to have been able to sit in the bar with him and have a drink, also a separate area for people with pets to dine with there dog would be great. I walked into Harrogate most nights to find Dog friendly places I could eat"

"The room and staff were great as was the breakfasts. Just a few negatives, £18 overnight parking charge, charge for wifi unless you want to sign up for their programs and agree to receive promotional emails etc, only 3 coat hangers in the large wardrobe"

"Very quiet area. Just 6-7mins walk from the main shops with plenty of breakfast and evening eating options. The room was compact, clean and modern with an excellent en-suite. Keys provided so that we could come and go as we pleased, with the car handily parked right outside. This has really made us think about all the more central hotels we've used over the years. The Grafton has an awful lot going for it and it suited our needs for this long weekend away, perfectly."
Classic Lodges The Old Swan Hotel

"The room was immaculate and the staff very attentive. The breakfast was amazing, with so much choice, and the bar was a lovely, relaxing area with very helpful bar staff. Our afternoon tea for two was delicious and very refined. We also loved the Agatha Christie connection to the hotel and it was lovely to see other guests dressed up in Agatha Christie era outfits. The things that were a slight negative were the lift, which was incredibly slow and there was a lack of plug sockets in the room..... and I'd forgotten to pack the multi plug extension I usually take! But all in all, we absolutely loved our stay."
