We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

Had an incredible stay here. The house and surrounding area are stunningly beautiful, and the rooms are very cosy. Loved the amenities provided and the staff were wonderful, down to earth and happy to help with whatever you needed. We booked a room with a conservatory and had an amazing time watching the bats fly in and out of the tree next door.
Breakfast was wonderful, as was the dinner service. I can see why you have so many regular guests!

It's a nice pub that is part of the Thwaites chain. Menu doesn't cater well for Vegetarians and not at all for Vegans. Disappointing to see them burning coal on the fire in July, really thoughtless.
Room was lovely though

Great stay from check in through to check out. Spacious, modern rooms and excellent buffet breakfast. Good location for shopping. Bit of a walk to FD Arena but just get an Uber!

Stayed with my husband for our Wedding Anniversary and it was amazing. The Hotel knew this and left us a lovely note and some chocolates in our room for when we arrived, what a lovely surprise. We went to the Spa for a swim and sauna, we almost fell asleep on the beds we were so relaxed.

The ensuite bathroom was well thought out with thick towels and a vanity unit with a fantastic mirror. The owners have done everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The room was really clean, a bit small but really nice. Parking was easy, within a few minutes walk from hotel. Kim was lovely, she made us feel really welcome. Its a shame that they dont do breakfast anymore but we took cereal and also went to wetherspoon which was just down the road.
We had a fabulous 3 days.

Booked the willows as a last minute getaway for me and my girlfriend.
As someone that stays in hotels a lot for work and rarely writes reviews, I feel after staying here , I must share my views.
Customer service here is beyond impeccable.
We dealt with the owner , Margaret , the owner. A proper no nonsense landlady who loves what she does and is committed to making sure you love your stay.

We stayed in room 410, it was a beautiful room, lovely decor & finish, a very good size too. Comfortable bed & bedding, the pillows were far to soft for our liking though. We were slightly dubious about potential noise as the room was next to the lift & across from the kitchen but it was surprisingly quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

We have read other reviews regarding this hotel some of them not very complimentary frankly they are obviously deranged.
Our experience was excellent, the hotel was clean, the rooms comfortable with everything we needed for our stay.
The staff were friendly and attentive especially Stuart whom served us our breakfasts for our 2 day stay
We couldn't work out what any poor review was based on unless those people were extremely pretentious and thoughts they deserved better?
