The room was amazing. The view was spectacular. The bed was really comfortable. I can't fault the place at all. The only downside was the wifi wasn't working and the 4G was down also. This could have been due to the weather but it made communicating with the host difficult but thankfully we had everything we needed and it was only a two day stay.

The hotel was excellent; staff, room, evening dinner and breakfast.
However, as a disabled visitor it was impossible for me to open the door of my room due to the heaviness of the door itself.

We’ve used the hotel for business trips for several years. The new owners have continued to deliver a high standard and a warm welcome. Looking forward to returning later in the year.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Perfect for our needs. Close to ferry and amenities. Room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Linda and Kevin were perfect hosts. Breakfast was piping hot. Would not hesitate to recommend this to others.

Everything was perfect, view, everything in the cottage you could need, warm, clean and I loved the snug with all the reading material on offer on the bookcase. Lovely relaxing in the evening in the lounge with woodburner on, stone walls added to the character

This is no ordinary pod. It is beautifully presented with so much thought given to it's furnishing. I didn't expect to find a wine fridge or induction hob, but there they were. The towels are luxurious and the toiletries are classy. There are even pods provided for the Nespresso machine! The fridge is stocked with essentials, and even some non-essential treats. Just as importantly, I was given a proper warm welcome on arrival. I loved my stay here. PS The eggs were delicious.

The best time to visit Harris is generally during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, for the most pleasant weather and longest daylight hours.
May and June are particularly good for avoiding the mid-summer crowds while still enjoying long days and the blooming machair. The machair, a fertile low-lying grassland near the coast, is a stunning sight when covered in wildflowers. These months are also excellent for hiking and exploring the beaches.
July and August offer the warmest temperatures and the most hours of daylight, making them ideal for outdoor activities like kayaking, cycling, and enjoying the world-renowned beaches such as Luskentyre. This is peak season, so booking accommodation and ferries well in advance is essential. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the opportunities for wildlife spotting, including various bird species and marine life.
September brings slightly cooler temperatures but often provides a more tranquil experience as the summer crowds begin to thin. The light at this time of year can be particularly beautiful for photography, and it's still suitable for most outdoor pursuits.
