One of those rare finds that you almost want to keep to yourself so you can always get a room.. :-) We booked only 3 hours before our 2 night stay so options were limited and we were a bit worried we'd be left with what no-one else wanted. It turned out fantastically though. The Motel is brand new, spacious, clean, warm, and the TV had all the usual smart apps so we could watch practically whatever we wanted. We had dinner and breakfast in the almost attached George and Dragon pub and although...

We had an executive room with balcony and lovely views over the countryside. Food was good and the staff friendly. we only tried the restaurant and that was good. Breakfast on the terrace in the very hot weather was a pleasant experience

Friendly and comfortable - very smart and we'll appointed. I had to leave at 0500 so could not comment on the breakfast but the restaurant was excellent.

We had a 'superior' room/apartment, and it really was superior. An entrance hall, bedroom plus ensuite bathroom, AND a large sitting room/kitchen. Fantastic. And not noisy despite overlooking Saturday Market Place and being at one end of the High Street. Parking is available, in Saturday Market Place, and not cheap, but go a little further afield and find a long term parking car park and cost is reduced. It would be good to have breakfast supplies, but we were recommended a nearby cafe (two...

Great room, small but very quirky and lots of extra touches such as bottled water, fresh milk and KitKats! Just had to remember to duck through door frames. Good sized bathroom and shower plus walk-in wardrobe provided plenty of storage. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Didn’t sample rest of pub food as only stayed one night but the list of desserts was impressive. Will definitely stay again when next in the area.

Excellent from the start.
Breakfast was a full English and i mean FULL.my hubby really enjoyed it. There was a wide choice of alternatives otherwise
The evening meals made it hard to choose, never seen a sirloin steak large and cooked to perfection, it was delicious,
All the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Top marks to the chef and Sue who made it a nice place to be. Hope to return for a longer stay soon.

Highly recommend. Gorgeous restaurant and rooms with a beautiful courtyard garden. Perfect for us with two children who were in same building but floor above via internal staircase. Car park just round the corner had to pay separately for but plenty spaces. Bed was fine but could have been more comfortable and slippers would be good but appreciated the robes. Lots of lovely little touches like welcome cocktail in room. Nice coffee machine. On a Tuesday it was continental breakfast delivery to...

Amazing stay. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Often hotels state pet friendly, but these guys added some really nice useful touches, to make us all welcome. Beautiful property in a great location.

Having stayed at The Orange Tree in the past many times, we were really pleasantly surprised to find that they had expanded their accommodation to include the conversation of two cottages next door. It was in one of these that we stayed. The rooms had been so tastefully done with all the amenities that you could wish for.
With the most wonderful beach in walking distance we could not find a better place. We ate in the pub the first night, but as the menu was somewhat ’fancy’ we did try another...

Tucked away in a little hamlet, this delightful guest house is a gem of a find. Everything is well maintained, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was as good as it gets, all personally served at the table in the large modern kitchen diner. The staff were kind, helpful and with a good degree of local knowledge. There is a hot tub in the garden and just steps away from the local pub which serves good food. We have no hesitation in saying you will be very happy to stay there....

The best time to visit Harpley is during late spring, from May to June, and early autumn, from September to October, to enjoy the most pleasant weather and fewer crowds.
During these months, you'll find the countryside is at its most picturesque. In late spring, the local gardens and fields are in full bloom, making it ideal for leisurely walks and exploring the nearby North Norfolk Coast Path. Early autumn offers crisp, clear days great for outdoor activities, with the added beauty of changing foliage.
Couples often find these periods particularly appealing for a relaxing getaway. The milder temperatures are great for visiting historical sites like Houghton Hall or exploring the numerous market towns nearby without the bustling crowds of peak summer. Many local pubs and restaurants also have a cosier feel during these shoulder seasons.
For those interested in local events and wildlife, late spring is excellent for birdwatching as migratory birds return to the coastal reserves.
