lousy breakfast - but only because of corona
Good hotel, but breakfast was not satisfying because of corona-restrictions. We came for the breakfast, but it could have been solved much better

Very Nice Facility
Wonderful facility. Excellent breakfast and wait staff very accommodating. There was a wedding party one night while we were there and there was a lot of noise and cigarette smoke outside our room. I complained to the staff the next morning and they were very apologetic and to compensate, they didn't charge us for parking. We would stay here again. Easy access to a laundry facility across the street and the downtown area is just a quick 10 minute walk.

Very central and clean
Wonderful to be walking distance to train station. Very clean and courteous staff. Amazing breakfast included. Rooms warm and poorly ventilated AND loud from traffic.

Quiet and good value
The hotel is housed in a classical style stone castle set in a small park, which confers it a pleasant atmosphere. The room was quiet, but unexceptional. There was no iron, no LED reading light next to the bed (only bright side table lamps), only one chair for 2 guests and no air-conditioning (it was 32°C outside). The bathroom was clean and functional but not particularly beautiful for a 4-star hotel. The hotel was children friendly and there was a playing corner near reception with toys and even an Xbox 360.

Fantastic hotel
This hotel really is top quality, we knew we would be arriving in the early hours due to our flight, we were met at 3am by a lovely bright lady, who spoke excellent English, what a relief after a 4.5hr delay, no trains and a mad taxi driver from Hannover airport! The room was spotless, bed very comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was excellent for the £18 and really set us up for the day. The room was cleaned well, I splashed the side of the shower with a bit of toothpaste and forgot to go back and wipe it off, but it was spotless after we got back. Reception staff all very helpful and friendly. Would book again 100%.

Great location and nicest place in Hildesheim!
Great location being walking distance to bus/train station and the pedestrian zone. Bedroom was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will stay here the next time I am in Hildesheim.

Very comfortable hotel, excellent location
The Novotel is conveniently located 10 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes from the city center. We had a few, minor problems that were immediately fixed by the attentive and friendly staff. We've stayed in a mix of hotels across Europe and this has to be rated as one of the most pleasant we've stayed in. Heartily recommended.

Beautiful Hotel!
Set in what looks to be an historic building, the hotel is really quite beautiful. Room has good space, basic but well appointed. The old town (Market Place, St. Michael's church, etc.) is about 10 to 15 minutes' on foot. Parking is available for a fee, only the first 15 minutes is free. There are limited off-street parking space outside the hotel.

Convenient for restaurants in the town
I wanted to stay in the Van der Valk but it was full. This made a reasonable second choice. Only a few blocks to the central square its convenient for the rail station and restaurants. Was quite empty when I stayed there. Clean but the duvet was half the size of the bed, go figure.

A true surprise in Hildesheim
A comfortable hotel. The room was fine, a little spartan however it was clean. The only negative item was the bathroom floor. It consisted of very worn linoleum. It's looks very dirty. It should be replaced with a tile floor in order to look clean. The Hotel has much Character. And the Best was the Restaurant with excellent food and Service. The Hotel had a talented Chef who was very detailed in his preparation. The Apple Strudel could not have been better even in Vienna. The Waitresses were very well trained and from a good House. I enjoyed their knowledge and detailed service. The front Desk was very professional. Thank you for a excellent experience!

Very good hotel on the high end price for euros. Great service, great rooms, decent location about 3 blocks from train station. Easy train ride to Hannover Messe show. Great small town with great food on the town square. I do d only the breakfast overrated for the cost. Would stay again.
