I had forgotten my passports in Shanghai, but I had pictures of them on my phone, She accompanied us to the local police department to get permission to stay without them. It worked! Her service was above and beyond. Other thant that, it was a lovely place right next to the lake with easy access to walking trails. Only down side was the food. It was not for westerners Latte machine didn't work and really no western food. But very easy access to the local bus system, which is great, and a lovely little neighborhood across the street. This is a small resort type place with court yards and out door swings. There were only two floors and it was a quiet place to stay walking distance to the southwest(I think) of the Lake. A jumping restaurant was about a block away. Lots of local and young people eating there. There was no air conditioning but the weather cooperated and they had fans, big windows and cool breezes from the nearby lake. It was pretty with flowers, etc. Our room had both a tub and a shower and a comfy bed. You would need to take a boat or a bus to get to the "city" but the Lake was the best. Walking distance to garden where the G 20 conference. The breakfast wasn't huge but it was plenty and good.
