It really was about price, and feeling safe. For that it was fine. Room had a couch which was a nice addition, and a microwave and small refrigerator. It just overall was very modest and a bit rundown but I wasn't expecting more so was ultimately okay with it.

The place was very basic but, for the price...it was clean and the management was friendly and helpful....they had everything we needed except for a coffee maker but, to be fair, it wasnt listed as an amenity and there was a loves travel plaza accross the street to get coffee

Would not recommend
The room was not clean and the walls and ceiling were cracked with holes. The noise from the highway was significant. Overall perception was run down.

Thank you for the feedback about your experience at our hotel. We do have a truck stop near the hotel but once you are in the room, you won't hear much noise because our glass windows and double panel. Thank you.

Absoulutley nothing room was filthy,mold underneath sink area.And suppose to have Lake view windows were so old you could not see anything out of them, and didnt feel safe at all we just left couldnt stay there Do not stay there I just took 50 dollar lost

Thank you for the feedback and we are sorry to hear that you felt unsafe but If you had asked the desk clerk about the area and surrounding, he could have explained that this is one of the safest area near St. Louis. Being away from the city, We have almost zero crime rate in the county. Our guests stay with us on regular bases because its away from city and they can enjoy the peaceful country side. Thank you. Price was reasonable but everything else was terrible. Hair dryer didn't work the bed linens smelled terrible. The owners were not pleasant to deal with OR manager is whatever they were.

Had to call Police because they locked us out. It is a garbage trash hotel. Will never go there ever again

Stay here...if you have no other options
Young man that checked me in was acting very strangely and argumentative...about what, is anyone’s guess. Hard to justify it, unless he was simply angry that I woke him up. I arrived just 20 minutes after I made the reservation. I’ve been here before, and the older gentleman that owns the motel is very nice, but I went elsewhere for the remainder of the week...and will not stay here in the future.

Check in was a little different-when I checked in around 8:30 pm office was closed with sign on window with instructions to go to a certain room to check in - otherwise I was ok with everything else

Hotel room had a sofa with bugs crawling on it. The sofa is unnecessary just get rid of it. I liked the fact there were bbqs and a fishing lake outside. Other than that good value you get what you pay for

Clean and fine overnight stay
We had a hard time checking in. The person at the front desk was not very welcoming. It was 2:30 in the morning and the whole check in took about 20 minutes. All we wanted to do was sleep and get off the road. It was fine for a sleep and head back to the road.

Comfortable beds
If you are looking for a fancy hotel this is not for you. But, if you want a clean comfortable place to stay with a good price it's pretty good. Check-in was easy and friendly. The beds were surprisingly comfortable for a No-Frills Motel.

Acceptable room for its price. However they wanted to surcharge my 3-year old child as extra person. Th person at the reception gave me a headache. He called his manager and askr me to speak to him whenever I asked him any question at all. He did not know even the password for the wi-fi.
