The hotel is 70’s dated, but clean, and the room was Japanese style sweet. There is parking on-site which is good, but it was difficult for me to locate the check-in office under the cover of darkness (about 20m further up the street from the parking area). The villa has a strong Showa-atmosphere - I chose this place since it was the last day of my trip and I wanted at least one traditional stay in a room with tatami mats, paper shoji doors, and futons. This is exactly what Trip7 is about - plus they only have public baths with a hot pool - which is exactly what I was looking for. Upon entering, you must remove your shoes and use the slippers provided while the staff give you a type of yukata to wear. The shoji doors let in a lot of light (and Japan doesn't use daylight savings) so I was woken by the sunrise at 4:45AM in June, but upon opening the shoji I was presented with a perfect sunrise view of Mt Fuji.
