Booked as a break from the city, and to get views of Mount Fuji from the cable car ride accessible from the nearby station. Loved our stay! Room food and staff all excellent. Just make sure you follow the arrival instructions and ask for a transfer from the train station, as the road to the Ryokan is quite steep. This was our first ryokan experience during our recent trip to Japan and it couldn't have been better! Staff exceeded expectations and were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive. Our room was perfect and had more than what we needed. My only disappointment is that we couldn't stay longer! It was in a great location right by Hakone Gora Park and very easy commute to nearby restaurants. We didn't end up having dinner at the hotel, but breakfast was great and am very glad we got to experience a traditional Japanese breakfast. We got to use the hot stone spa which was a wonderful and unexpected treat!
