Towels had a certain smell to them too. There are 3 private onsen rooms too, but you have to wait for a while because there is no time limit. Dinner and breakfast were included and delicious. The food for the half board was so good and the facility was beautiful. We went when it was snowing and the view from our hotel balcony was stunning. The private baths were also really nice as well as the public baths. It was a walking distance from the station so it was a breeze to get there (~5min walk). For being my first time in Japan and on an onsen, everything was easy to understand. The staff were also very helpful. Walls are stained, and there is an overall smell that is not pleasant. The hotel is next to the Gora station, which is a good starting point to access the Ropeway and other sites. Rooms are spacious, well-appointed, with private outdoor bath. Loungewear is provided for walking around the resort, with optional casual kimonos available also. The kaiseki dinner was plentiful and delicious, as was the breakfast. Service was attentive and pleasant. We would stay there again in a second. ##### Don ### 8/10 Good #### Yuk Kwan 2 Apr 2024 Liked: Cleanliness The stay is fine However, when I check out , the staff claimed that I haven’t paid for the stay and asked me to settle the payment After clarifying the whole issue, it was discovered that it was the problem of Expedia, therefore, I was very disappointed with the reservation experience because the hotel said that my booking had been cancelled and rebooked again by the Expedia. Private Tub on the balcony, incredible kaiseki meals, right at the base of the tram and train arrival. Had a 10 pm ramen bar and an afternoon snack bar. Japanese set breakfast was elaborate and good experience. Large room was well equipped. Nice to have free tea, coffee, snacks kimono and towels. Building and wooden hot Spring pools showing their age. Overall it is clean and comfortable though. It is close to the Gora station and it is so convenient to travel around. Our stay included dinner and breakfast. Food is good and the servers are excellent. I like the 3 private onsens a lot.
