Beautiful hotel with incredible staff.

We had a wonderful time at the Delamar. The hotel is lovely and beautifully maintained. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Great room n Greenich

Recently spend a night at the wonderful Delamar hotel in Greenich, CT. Conveniently just off I95 and walkable to the shops on Greenich Ave., the Delamar is a great small size that plays more like an elegant inn than a hotel. Our room was waterside with a balcony that afforded a nice view of the boats and channel. The rooms are very elegant and tasteful, exactly like the photos on the web site. Stafff was friendly, parking easy and breakfast was included.

Cons: Staff and Expedia accuracy
Go to hotel for whenever we travel back east for it's of access and easy comfort. But hotel room as booked by Expedia included a view - ours was of trash cans. Hotel staff was insubordinate

Nice hotel. Loved that it was right in the harbour

Overall a lovely hotel, there was a wedding so most of the lobby was taken up by the guests. They did an amazing job of welcoming us and our dog with his own bed and a new toy. My only query was that we booked a deluxe king, view room and we didn't get a room with a view - not sure if it was because we were travelling with our dog. Essentially the view we paid for was that of the street and parking lot - not what I had in mind!

nice weekend in Greenwich

Pros: Nice little touches everywhere, including the scent of flowers and heated milk in the morning for coffee/tea
Cons: forks and knives to use at breakfast
Location: easy walk from the railroad station, and the ferry to Island Beach takes off right in the harbor across the hotel
The hotel is incredibly charming and beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful, with useful suggestions for wonderful activities in Greenwich. The rate includes acontinental breakfast as well as a ride around the harbor on their pontoon boat.

Boring hotel that nickel and dimes you

The weather was rainy so the hotel gave us passes to a nearby museum, dropped us off and left not knowing the museum was and has always been closed on Mondays. The continental breakfast was shameful, not a bagel, croissant or piece of toast to be had. An employee whispered in my ear to go to the 4th ( concierge) floor where there were pastries, etc. When the rain stopped and we wanted to take the ferry just to see the water, we were told we had to pay for the ferry even if we weren't going to the beach. Expensive and disappointing.

Beautiful, but flawed
