"This gets a top rating due to the service & hospitality.
The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks.
Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order.
They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok.
The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. So beautiful with lots of space and the facilities were great. Friendly, welcoming and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. "
"This is a super property run by two lovely owners who treat you more like friends than guests. Nothing is too much trouble. Would certainly recommend visitors to Megavissey to stay at this hotel. Yes it’s at the top of a steep hill but if we could cope with it (80/84years) then I’m sure "
"The view is great. Apart from that, it looks “quirky but cute” online but in reality it’s just awkward and uncomfortable. The ceilings are low and sloped. The bunk beds are not suitable for teenagers do to the low ceiling and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bunk room. The floors are uneven and there is an odd 1 inch step between the rooms which is just a trip hazard. The bathroom is clean but sparse, not even a box of tissues. There is no dishwasher, so everything needs to be hand washed. There is a washing machine, but no dryer (problematic if you are traveling with carryon and assuming you can wash clothes) The WiFi is ridiculously slow. Make dinner reservations in advance of arriving because there are few restaurants and they were all booked on a Wednesday night. We booked for 2 nights but checked out after 1 night."
Blossom Barn - Beautiful Grade 2 listed barn conversion
10/10 Excellent
"We had 4 fabulous nights at Blossom Barn with our grown up son. The barn was easy to find and check in was smooth. The barn itself was spacious, spotless and has everything you would need. Ample parking which was helpful. We also found that the barn is extremely quiet even though there are neighbours either side. We loved the upside down aspect as it meant the bedrooms were lovely and cool on a hot week. Quality White Company bedding and towels too. Easy walk to Mevagissey one way and down to the little beach in the other direction. We had a fabulous meal in The Rising Sun walkable from the barn. Would happily book again, perfect hoilday"
Beautiful barn conversion, close to Mevagissey, Portmellon and the SW Coast path
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed a 5 days break at the Barn in July - The communication from Vicky and Nathan prior to our stay and arrival instructions were excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable with comfy beds, good showers, nice bed linen and towels and we were impressed by the generous welcome pack and homemade cake. Our grown up kids enjoyed playing table tennis on site and we had a couple of swims in Portmellon. The Barn is well located for Mevagissy, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project. We had a great week in this beautiful part of Cornwall."
Little Gwyn. 3 min walk to Beach! Gorgeous views out to sea.
10/10 Excellent
"Amazing stay at Little Gwyn with our 3 boys. Lovely welcoming family home with charm and style which made our holiday. Brilliant, quiet and friendly location with lots of walks and beaches. Perfect place to get away from it all to relax and recharge. Excellent communication with our attentive hosts with lots of information and suggestions for us. Can’t wait to return."
Character Coastal Cottage 5 minutes stroll to Beach/Amenities
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic stay. The location was excellent, a few minutes walk to either Gorran Haven or Vault Beach, close to the village centre yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle and with a rare parking space right outside the property. The house is set in a really beautiful, peaceful, flower-filled garden. The house itself felt friendly, was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. In the morning the sun filters into the master bedroom giving a real feeling of holiday relaxation. The owners were lovely, helpful and even shared some of their garden produce with us. All in all an idylic stay. We look forward to returning on our next Cornish adventure. "
"The beautiful little ‘Boatshed’ has everything needed for a perfect stay in the gorgeous village of Gorran Haven. Attention to detail was fabulous ensuring every home comfort and need was catered for. The only negative about this little place is getting too attached, it truly did become our home for the duration of our stay. Communication with the owner was so slick and efficient when we enquired about an additional day. And the parking space was the icing on the cake. The Boatshed will definitely be on our favourite list for a return visit."
