"The location in Falmouth was really good. Our room overlooking the harbor was nice. Room and bathroom was very clean and probably recently updated. Quiet and comfortable bed. No A/C and very warm in room, and unfortunately our little fan didn’t work. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. The hallways were the reason for lower score. Carpet is stained and filthy. Supply closet doors were kept open in the hallways too, which was not a good look when you walked by. The hallways made us worry about what our room would look like, so it was a relief when we saw our nice room. Improving your hallways will really improve guest experience."

The Esplanade Hotel

8/10 Good
"The only criticism I have was the cove restaurant was over priced and the service was slow and we asked for a dessert menu and waited about 45 minutes other people with babies were serviced before us we felt ignored by the staff and then to add service charge of £8.10 was a really bad when there really was no service at all My husband and I were on the 2nd floor and he couldn’t manage all the steps so they did move us to the 1st floor however our room was tiny but I couldn’t ask them to move us again so we stuck with it but would have preferred a bigger room when your paying £150 a night the swimming pool was lovely I think when you have teenagers maybe they need to have things for them to do to like mocktail making or movies for teens or arts and crafts for them etc"

Great Western Hotel

Great Western Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was pretty good in general. Room was fine: very clean. Slightly old-school grandparent vibe instead of funky Newquay surfer vibe, and some of the fittings were slightly run down if you looked closely, but that's being really critical. Breakfast was excellent with unusually good veggie choices. Staff were helpful. The beach location was dramatic. It was quite pricey but I suppose that's the cost when staying in Newquay last minute during school holidays."

St Michael's Resort

St Michael's Resort

10/10 Excellent
"Some hotels give you a room. St Michaels Resort gives you a memory. My partner and I spent three wonderful nights here, and St Michaels became more than simply the place where we stayed...it became part of our Falmouth story. There is something special about the atmosphere: beautiful, peaceful and effortlessly welcoming. Everything came together to make our stay feel genuinely memorable, and we left with that rare feeling of wishing we could remain a little longer. I even bought a few pieces of St Michaels merchandise because I wanted to take a small part of the experience home with me. That probably says more than any ordinary five-star review could. Falmouth gave us the scenery, but St Michaels gave the trip its heart. Thank you for hosting a chapter of our lives that we will always remember. We arrived as guests, left as admirers, and will certainly return. Samuel"

"Overall lovely hotel with beautiful decor and facilities. Everywhere was very clean. The overflow car park still undergoing building works and £27 a day for parking is very overpriced. No toilet roll in our room. Very slow service at breakfast and ran out of milk at and could only offer oat milk. Seemed to be more waiting staff just stood around rather than serving"
