Very disappointed with my room. 1st impressions are vital. The communal area was ok, but as a solo traveller with a heavy bag I wasn’t directed to the main lift by reception, but down some stairs along a dark corridor and into a poky lift. I opened the door to my room to be greeted by a large stain on the carpet. There was no milk to make tea only creamer powder and I was told I could always go down three floors to use the communal milk each time I had a cup of tea. I even visited the website to check I was in the 4* hotel I had booked! Not a patch on the 4* hotel I had stayed in, in Stockholm. The room had everything it said, but the majority of the plugs didn’t work. The hair dryer was pathetic and I just gave up and left my hair to dry naturally. The room was stuffy and the window only opened a smidge. The bathroom was clean and adequate. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok. The location was good. I would not stay at this hotel again. As a solo traveller, I was allocated the pokiest room. My experience certainly wasn’t 4* or that of the glossy website photos.

Pros- the location is fantastic - directly across the central station for train and bus. Nordstan Mall is 100m away. Right in the heart of the city. Can't to much better than this. -The breakfast was simply outstanding - especially the overnight oatmeal topped with turkeyish yogurt, their berry compote and sunflower seeds.. YUM! - The beds were very comfortable, slept well. The room itself was in the older section on the hotel, pleasant enough but not very bright - somber atmosphere. Cons - Our bedroom was poorly lite. One of the ceiling bulb was out. No direct lighting at the desk to write in my journal. The air exchange vent in the shower stall made a constant noise like when the toilet tank is filling up with water. - First time ever staying at a hotel where the guests have to pay to use their swimming pool and sauna. I realize that it's like a spa, and one would expect to pay for services like a massage or any other form of treatment...but for the pool? -Lastly, the Expedia site on which I booked this hotel has two entries - one as laundry and dry cleaning services, the other as having a laundry facility which would indicate that washing and drying machines are available for guests, usually at a cost. This was one of the main reasons why I chooses this hotel, except it doesn't. We had already been traveling for a week, so it would have been nice to have our clothes washed when living out of our backpacks, without having to pay an arm and a leg for laundry services.

Wie schon von vielen Reisenden beschrieben hat das Hotel eine super zentrale Lage als Ausgangspunkt für Sightseeing Touren. Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend und das Personal im Frühstücksraum sehr, sehr freundlich. Leider hatten wir nur das Classic Zimmer gebucht. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein für zwei Personen, da zu wenig Abstellmöglichkeiten vorhanden sind...mit zwei Koffern echt ein Problem.

150 € per nacht voor een hotel dat absoluut geen 4 sterren verdient. Kamer 123, de zogenaamde Classic. Ver onder het niveau van een viersterrenhotel. De badkamer: het toilet staat vlak naast de wastafel en de deksel zit er bovendien niet goed op. Het douchewater ligt over de hele vloer verspreid. Het bed, tja, van het niveau van een studentenhostel. Een lamp waar een gloeilamp ontbreekt en die je alleen bij de ingang kunt uitschakelen. Geen airconditioning, en met de ramen open hoor je het lawaai van de doorgang naar het winkelcentrum en, het ergste van alles, een afzuigkap die de hele nacht draait: lawaai en stank. Het was al jaren geleden dat ik zo’n slechte ervaring in een hotel had gehad. En laat je niet misleiden door de nabijheid van het centrum: de stad is klein en goed bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer. Het ontbijt is inbegrepen en dat is het enige dat nog enigszins de moeite waard is.

Bodde i den gamla hotell delen, typ annex. Dessa rum är ganska slitna och omoderna. Bra frukost som innehöll det mesta men kanske inte många val inom varje frukost kategori. Kl 08:30 var det ingen kö alls till frukosten. Rummet städades under dagen utan att vi bad om det, bra.
