"Good hotel for business travel. Clean room, nice bar. Used by many local residents for amenities, gym and starbucks. Had issues with water temperature in the shower when I visited but it did not detract from the overall experience. Parking was charged on top of room as well."

"Lovely hotel, Remarkable for the price to be fair. Room was nice and spacious, beds and pillows were comfortable, shower was hot. What more could you ask for? Nice walk around the grounds in the morning after breakfast too. Amazing value for the breakfast, with everything you'd expect. Would certainly stay again if I was in the area."

"Village hotel is a beautiful modern place on the Thames river bank were you can take a boat trip from outside garden.There's plenty of car park spaces. The room was clean with hairdryer iron and ironing board coffee machine with coffee provided soap towels and 50 inch TV .The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good plenty of choices for breakfast and other meals . There is gym swimming pool and hot tub also 7 Large TV Screens in the bar Iwould definitely recommend this place"

"A wonderful stay with exceptional service! We had a fantastic stay at The Great House in Sonning and would happily return! When we first arrived, the TV in our room wasn’t working. We mentioned it to reception, and they immediately offered us two alternative rooms, which we were able to go and look at before deciding. The whole situation was handled so quickly and efficiently, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The bathroom in the room we moved to was slightly smaller, but that really wasn’t an issue. The room itself was lovely, with an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows. It was also great to have heating available if needed, as well as a fan for warmer weather. We particularly loved the little touches, such as the selection of snacks and drinks in the minibar, especially the fact that the snacks were from British brands. It’s those thoughtful details that make a difference. We had dinner at the restaurant in the evening and breakfast the following morning, and both were excellent. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. But what really makes this hotel stand out is the people. Every member of staff we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming and attentive. You really get the feeling that they care about their guests and want everyone to have a wonderful experience. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend The Great House. We can’t wait to come back!"
