The room was fine and I am sure 10 years ago ok but it was very dated really . Carpets had it and ripples , skirting boards all chipped and scruffy . Marks on walls and not hoovered that well . Just all dated and sparce. No furnishings to make it homely or modern , curtains loads of stains and marks at bottom especially. A cleaner and knocked and then walked in during our stay when not supposed to as boom said they don’t . She walked in said nothing and emptied bin ! Scared kids and I dread to think if we had just got out shower or walking from bathroom to bedroom . You can’t just walk into some ones holiday home . We were nervous then and teens would not stay on alone then . Just not worth money it needs revamp and smarter office and everything . The lift stunk of cigarettes I think from staff . We had nice trip but cushions on sofa , tables and refurbished it would be great then . I wound return of redecorating and full refurb as good location

We wanted just a place to sleepover. We came to explorer Scotland. Great that the place had a private parking. Bed was squeaky. Room was Not sound proof, could hear crying children from other rooms. Very basic. Was okay for our short trip.

Easy to find and easy to check in with helpful reception staff. Bus stop 2mins down the road with regular buses into the city centre which was great as its a few miles from the main hustle and bustle. Room was tiny and at the front of the hotel with floor to ceiling windows so was very noisy and I was awoken early with bin wagons and going on right outside the hotel. There was no lamp so either very dark or very bright spolights. Cut the last day short to get home and have a decent nights sleep. Because of this I wouldn't use the hotel again.
