The pool is a must with teenagers, and it was lovely. Lovely garden surrounding pool with chairs to relax in.

Parking right outside the door. Pool and gardens were very nice but the weather was not good so could not use them. Disadvantage was bedroom just had sliding doors to the lounge area , it was not separated by a wall so could hear Tv from bedroom.

Great place to stay with the family - as we were travelling around the East Coast, this was a great place to chill, catch up on washing (love the Air NZ airplane seats in the laundry - got the TEAL/Air NZ link there!), and the swimming pool was perfect for those hot Gizzy days.

This is a very comfortable motel with plenty of room, comfortable furniture, up-to-date television, air conditioning and a very nice pool.

Pool Ok but had leaves in it. Rooms reasonably comfortable and kitchenware good. Decor a little dated and musty smell. Bathroom renovation looked good but toilet didn't flush properly for first 3 days and shower flooded bath room a couple of times.

1. The fold out bed took 20 minutes to put up and down, inconvenient. 2. There should be free WiFi instead of being given coded passwords. 3. The beds were uncomfortable. 4. The bath was too high for the kids to get in and out.

Fairly basic - comfortable
Stayed a number of times and has usually been good. At this visit anagement were unusually and strictly unwilling to provide additional towels to the occupants of the two rooms we booked for the long weekend, despite having a pool onsite and being in a beach town. Having to run back and fourth to the office was a bit like being in school and not really that hospitable to guests who spent a considerable amount of time and money at this property. Also the sky was on the blink throughout much of the weekend and we were told by management that it was being looked into and we were never updated with it being fixed. Housekeeping was a little inconsistent too, and on one day not turned over due to the room being occupied but we left before 8am that day so that was a fail.

Stayed three nights, great location and setting. Clean and comfortable unit providing everything we needed. Enjoyed the old fashioned motel experience of beds being made daily and felt a bit guilty but they tidied the kitchen for us as well after we had rushed out each morning leaving the breakfast dishes on the bench. Nice to be able to get a daily paper. Bathroom due for a bit of routine maintenance but very clean and functional. Personally would have appreciated a choice of pillows as found the ones there rather uncomfortable. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thank you Teal Motor Lodge for a relaxing holiday.

Clean and well looked after hotel
Wifi was poor especially in the room that I stayed. Despite the manager's help, I could not log in as the signal was very low on the first night. I managed to logged in the next day in the reception, but in the room, signal was very scarce. on the second night, despite no wifi, TV was down and could not watch a movie that was screening that night. Otherwise, the stay was comfortable.
