"The main part of the hotel is very well kept. The room was large and well presented. However the bathroom needed some tlc. The staff were nice. Particularly Rodrigo in the bar and Aiden in the restraunt at breakfast"

"The woodland cabin accommodation was lovely comprising of lounge, bedroom and Bathroom. A, queen bed with no option of a twin and a small but adequate fridge. Highly recommended to book spa treatments online before your stay, we were lucky as there had been some cancellations. Residents only have access 7-9am and 8-9pm! otherwise its £15 pp additional charge. Breakfast plentiful but advise arriving early as items were running out fast and lack of staff caused delays. There is a restaurant/bar, food average nothing exceptional and quite pricy."
Stone trough hotel

"Booked a night at The Stone Trough for our Wedding Anniversary. It was a little overwhelming. I wanted to give it 3.5 but there wasn't an option and 3 is too low. The main shared areas of the hotel are pleasant and our evening meal was delicious with fantastic staff. However our room was tired, with wall paper coming away from the ceiling. There were some cobwebs, a small recent stain on the bed throw and dusty skirting boards. Just little things that a should be noticed and kept on top of by cleaning staff. The bathroom was clean but the shower kept oscillating between scalding hot and freezing cold, a maintenance issue. Also,my mistake but the photos make the hotel look as if it's in a small village on a quiet road, but in fact, it's on a main road and not in a quaint village. I think the motorhome stopover is a brilliant feature and worth every penny. There are nice gardens and places to sit out the back. It was fine for one night but glad we didn't pay for two."
