Perfect location for exploring the city on foot (within a 5-15 minute walk of the cathedral, marina, CR7 Museum, Santa Catarina Park, Funchal Municipal Garden, Baltazar Dias Theatre, Electricity Museum), by car (parking nearby) and by public transport (bus stop right outside the building). There is a Pingo Doce supermarket in the Anadia Shopping centre. Don't miss the experience of taking the cable car to Monte or the Botanical Gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our one week rental of this apartment. Couldn't ask for a better location; close to the old town, water front, cable car, Farmer's Market and the Forte de Sao Tiago. Numerous cafes, restaurants, bakeries and small supermarkets only minutes away. Beautifully presented and comfortably furnished. Immaculately clean. We very much enjoyed sitting on the spacious balcony watching the world (and cruise ships) go by. The Property Management Company responded very quickly to our enquiries before and during our stay and, on our arrival at the apartment building, we were met by a representative who took us up to the apartment.
