Lovely stay at The Mercure Hotel. Special mention to the evening receptionist, absolutely delightful. The room was clean with a very comfy bed. Bathroom a little bit on the small side, but sufficiently adequate for the 3-night stay. Good location, close to station and within walking distance of all main attractions, apart from the botanical gardens, for which taking the underground is advisable.
Slight warning to couples with young children, the hotel is located next to the station, where the usual down on their luck characters can be found. They are harmless but can be an unsuitable sight for young children.
Great hotel and very central next to main train station . Service is friendly and professional . Great hotel . Would definitely return . There are lot of random people and druggies roaming the streets around the central station at night, but didnt have any issues with them as such. Also the security at the hotel is very good so we felt very safe .
The hotel is in a great location, which was a major plus. However, my experience was disappointing when the shampoo and body wash dispensers ran empty and were not refilled by housekeeping. When I contacted the front desk, the staff were unable to locate replacement stock or resolve the issue promptly. This lack of coordination and attention to basic guest needs felt unprofessional and detracted from an otherwise convenient stay.

Liked: Staff & service
This hotel is a bit dated but it is conveniently situated with 5 minutes on foot from Frankfurt Central Station and a tram stop right in front of the hotel. So overall it’s a great value and its location is everything.
Comfortable hotel close to the station with a tram stop outside. Quiet rooms. Great service from the friendly staff. Clean modern facilities and the mini bar and coffee machine were welcome additions. I didn’t participate in the breakfast so can’t comment on that. Would definitely book again.
4-5 stars overall. Clean rooms, very good breakfast, and friendly front desk and breakfast staff. The location is very central and conveniently located to the main station and river. However as other reviewers have commented, there are a lot of drug users hanging around the station and streets. Nevertheless the area did not feel unsafe during daylight hours.
Overnight stay at the Mercure Frankfurt City Messe
It was an overnight stay whilst travelling from the north to the south of the country. Therefore none of the hotels facilities were used. The room was quiet so a good nights rest. Very close to the railway station.
Location is excellent, just next to train station, tram stop just outside the hotel. Because it's centrally located, it comes with its cons, (a) unwanted elements of the society selling drugs, (b) traffic noise.
Hotel is decent, good for few days stopover. Lift is small, it says max 4 person, but you won't take chance with that. Room size was decent, needs a bit of upgradation, specially with carpets. Bed was comfortable, bathroom amenities were great. Mini bar was available at extra cost. Daily housekeeping is available. Water kettle and tea coffee tray in room gives it a big plus.
Hotel is very good for a short stay. We liked its convenient location near highways and central train station. It offers €20 UG parking. However, the parking ramp and spaces inside are too small for large vehicles. We walked 25 minutes to get to the old town, great restaurants in the downtown, Alt Opera or Cathedral. Some streets in directions to river and train station do not appear safe. But we safely walked approximately 15 minutes after 8pm away from the hotel along a large street in a direction to Alt Opera. The downtown attractions are located in additional 10 min walk on a right hand side.
The hotel property is very nicely kept, clean, and very convenient to the main train station.
The single bed room is small but it has all you need for a couple of nights stay. The bedroom and bathroom were updated, clean and had all I needed for a night.
I would stay in this hotel again for a night or two given the convenience of how close it is to the train station and how clean and modern it is on the inside. The breakfast is also very decent.
As with any other hotel or property in the neighborhood of the main train station, the problem is the rampant and publicly visible drug dealers, drug users, alcoholics, and homeless people that have taken over the streets and sidewalks. There are no problems with this inside the hotels of the area, but it is quite an evident problem once you step out of this or any other hotels in the neighborhood.
Front desk personal were not so friendly and warm. Same with the lady in the breakfast area. When we checked in the front desk said parking is free if you're a member, then when we checked out they charged us for parking. Parking is really tight and limited in the basement. Location is conveniently in front of the train station. Its clean for the most part but the carpet smells and is quite old. Breakfast was good actually! Decent place, staff could be friendlier but don't expect much.
Had to stay close to the train station with early train to be taken by one of my colleagues.
Hotel is nice and room looked fine.
Still need to be upgraded - many signs of old restoration with wallpaper loosen, dirty shower and so on.
It was quite inside.
During reservation it was written that hotel has its own parking - but the receptionist said they don’t. We parked to the closest one and paid 37 EUR for one night. Be careful here.
We didn’t try any breakfast.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The room was more than adequate, staff weren’t as helpful as most we’d encountered on this trip. The biggest problem for us was that within 10 minutes of being outside, we were approached by 3 different aggressive looking men demanding something that we couldn’t understand and wasn’t sure at one point if we were about to be mugged. We might’ve just been unlucky but it put a bit of a cloud over our stay and we were then reluctant to venture out

**Review of Mercure Hotel in Frankfurt**
I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Frankfurt and had a mixed experience.
**Location:** The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, making it easy to get around the city. However, the area around the hotel felt unsafe, with a noticeable presence of addicts and beggars, which was quite unsettling.
**Room Quality:** Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms was lacking. The carpets were particularly dirty, which affected the overall comfort of the stay.
**Service:** The highlight of my stay was the staff at the reception. They were friendly, professional, and very helpful, which was a silver lining in an otherwise disappointing stay.
**Overall Experience:** While the location and staff were positive aspects, the unclean rooms and the unsafe surrounding area significantly detracted from my experience. I hope the management can address these issues for future guests.

I stayed 3 days in a single room, which had a reasonable space for a person with luggage. The room had all expected amenities of hotels of this network. However, I did not try the breakfast. The receptionists were very nice, particularly for allowing early check in. The advantage of the location is to be close to the main train station. However, observe that the hotel is in a region with many drugged and drunk people, so one should avoid stopping close to them (and so they will probably not disturb). For the offered price, this hotel was a very good choice.
