Best Western Heath Court Hotel

Best Western Heath Court Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Perfect for the Warren Hill gallops & High St too. The air-con works - a blessing in this current heatwave. Staff are helpful & courteous. It's the first hotel I check out if I go racing at Newmarket. Walking distance of The Nat Horseracing Museum & Sporting Art. Night club & Geegees wine bar in walking distance. Also the dinner menu is excellent too. Recommended."

The Jockey Club Rooms

The Jockey Club Rooms

10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay at the Jockey Club rooms, beautiful building and grounds. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was huge with a free standing bath. The breakfast was very good, served in a grand dining room, all the staff we met were very helpful, polite and informative. Especially the night manager, he had a great knowledge of the history of the Jockey Club rooms and their amazing wealth of the Arti facts, paintings and extensive rooms, the bar area was really splendid. The outside terrace with beautiful outlook over the well maintained gardens. It really is an impressive place to stay, particularly for any racing enthusiast as every room wax steeped in racing history. I would definitely recommend the Jockey Club Rooms, we will definitely stay there again."

"The staff, cleanliness and overall appearance was gorgeous! A few dishes at the restaurant were perhaps a little over, however we woukd certainly come back and stay there in a heartbeat, because it is out of the way if the city centre, and perfectly for a relaxing weekend, which is exactly what we needed! Brilliant hotel!"

Wilde Cambridge City Centre

Wilde Cambridge City Centre

10/10 Excellent
"Couldn’t ask for a more central location. Room was perfectly sized (though I was only a single traveler). Lobby was a super comfy cafe/lounge area. Snacks/amenities available 24 hours. Laundry onsite easy to use with contactless payment. Small exercise room (think 2-3 people at a time) but was enough for a good stretch. Room had kettle and toaster on the counter, Nespresso style maker, microwave oven and induction cooktop. Using the toaster (and not even burning the bread) was enough to trigger the smoke alarm (so turn on the exhaust fan before you toast and let run a few minutes after toast has popped). There are dishes, sharp knives, cutting board, dish towels for use. Even an automatic dishwasher!! Fridge had a small freezer compartment, and was so helpful during the warmer days of summer to make ice for the water bottle. Supermarket within a block so it was very easy to dine in-room, though the cafe was always busy and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. A busway was steps from the front door and could easily access other parts of town or the train station. All in, this is easily a home away from home, and made the weeklong trip for a campus program that much more homey and comfortable."

"Room itself was clean and tidy, and in good condition. Shower on the other hand, was not nice. Glass door scum-stained, silicon sealants mouldy, and shower head crusty. OK for a one nite sopover, and a good price, but not exceptional."
