"Our second time at Xavier's house. The niggles from last year have mostly been addressed, except the fan in the bathroom. A very pleasant 2 weeks with glorious sunshine throughout. The dogs remembered the villa straight away and were very settled in the garden. Although we had neighbours in the front house this time, parking for a car each was not a problem. Able to visit all of our old haunts in western Provence, and a few new ones. We will be back again - maybe not next year - but soon."

"This is a beautiful and comfortable house, decorated with taste and style. It’s also a sort of gallery, featuring works of a renowned local artist and others. The kitchen is admirably stocked with all one could want for prep and serving. The courtyard provides a relaxing and lovely place for quiet moments. It lies on a plateau just outside the charming town of St-Remy; just a few minutes drive will bring you to shops, bars, restaurants and petrol stations. "The property owner is incredibly kind, generous and welcoming. The house is located in a calm and quiet part of Beaucaire, yet short walking distance from any necessary shopping. In the main living-room of the house, there's ample space with a well-adapted area for remote-working. My husband and I will be recommending to our kids to stay in this specific house, for its great location, AMAZING host and ease of use for those who tele-commute."

"The property is well apportioned and easy to walk to the center of town with restaurants, shopping, market days, etc. Quiet evenings in the courtyard, little traffic noise but the train rail is directly across the road from the property, so you will hear occassional trains passing. "We stayed for a week with our family. It was very clean, tge beds very comfortable and the pool was perfect size and very clean. We were welcomed by Dominic and his wife who made us feel at home. "There was one downside of this place - the creeping service fees which are not declared on the Vrbo profile. The website announces that bedding is provided, but then the owner writes to you to ask for €10 per person for sheets and towels. On arrival, you are told to use a screwdriver to clean the shower drains of hair before you leave. Then on departure, with minutes to spare, you are told to clean the whole place yourself or pay another €50. It’s not unusual to ask for a cleaning fee, but...

"I loved the location, right across the street from the old city. There was a grocery store next door, very convenient. The property seems to be student residences as well as hotel and has laundry facilities, safe bicycle storage, recycling, an exercise room and breakfast for an extra fee, which we didn't do. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was fine, the shower was great, the room was very spacious, but with a characterless, unadorned feel. Still, over all, good value. "
