Nice but not worth the price.
I lived in Key West from '98 to '01 and I know all about "season", but I had business in Key West and didn't want to pay the $350.00 + a night for extra nights in town! the price wasn't the best, but for a last minute booking it was the best I could get, however, I believe that'll lowering the price to $150.00 a night would still be high. I realize it's "season" and all........and the goal is to keep the snowbirds from taking their money back home with them......
The property is large and nice, staff is very friendly, the room we had was nice, poolside with a view of the water. But it was the same weekend when the First blizzard of '16 hit the upper east coast...(anything north of I-10 is upper east coast for me.) all the snowbirds were strutting around in their sandals, shorts and t-shirts, while the natives were bundled up.
The walls are thin and we could hear the neighbors TV and their conversations, the floors creak and sound thin also, I apologize to the folks below us for my heavy steps.
It was a cozy little place that, if the price was lower, I could see bringing my kids to for a week or so. However, don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, and we will stick with the Vacation Rentals at NAS Key West.
The continental breakfast was nice, I just felt out of place all bundled up while the snowbirds were crowing about how warm it was and how happy they were they didn't have to shovel any snow.
