Find the Best Fimber Bed and Breakfast

"First room smelt musty and mouldy, cobwebs all over, switched rooms promptly, second room better but very very dusty even in basic areas like skirting boards and headboard. Windows filthy and shower screen hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Room was lovely and warm and WiFi worked well free tea/coffee sugar in the room and in reception. Could be a beautiful hotel just needs some TLC. "

"Rooms were nice and big, I had a fab view across the water. Little dated and could do with a minor revamp, but that’s fine. Staff were nice in the hotel. Breakfast was very nice and good for the price (although dining room was a bit difficult to find) Service was slow in the bar area for evening meal, didn’t feel overly welcoming. Food was nice but they made a mistake with a nut allergy that I declared. This was handled really well by the manager - he was apologetic, handled it with the kitchen staff, and replaced & comped our meal. I was absolutely fine and I’m pleased with how it was managed in the end, but more attention needs to be given in the kitchen to stuff like this. Location was good, easy for us to walk to and from to get to everywhere we wanted to in York. "

"There was no parking but advertisement says parking , hotel room overlooking a building site , toilet smelling of drains , but apart from that the stay was good"

"Room was good but some marks on the wallpaper, very small bathroom with tiny bath and basic shower but plenty of towels and lovely hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. Comfy bed with good pillows and a window that opened. Breakfast was ok, a wide variety of hot and cold items. Parking was £30 for 1 night. "
