I had a late check-in and Nigel (the porter) arranged a table at a lovely restaurant nearby for me. The room was extremely nice (there was one minor issue which I raised with staff the next day, but wasn’t anything major that it detracted from my stay). I found the hotel easy to get to and all the staff I came across were friendly, polite and professional. I also loved the granola at breakfast - it was extremely delicious (as were the full english breakfast, fruits and yoghurts I had) I only had an overnight stay due to business, but plan on visiting York for leisure longer (this was my first time) and The Grand York will absolutely be my first choice of accommodation !"
