I chose this hotel as I fancied a change from the B&B's I usually stop in when in the area. What a great choice that was the Staff were really nice and very helpful, the room was very clean and well furnished the food in the Bar area was really good. Wifi was fast as I had work to do. The TV had movies available to watch as this was a smart TV. Well Done Mayfield. Excellent place and I would stop again without any question.

We were not aware but we had booked the 'Romantic Package'- bottle of bubbly waiting for us and a box of chocolates, a lovely surprise. Delightful room with 4 poster bed. Ate in the evening, extensive menu and excellent food. Good breakfast and Buck's Fizz came with our package. Excellent service from everyone, good value for money. Very popular with locals so advisable to book a table if you want to eat there.

We brought our grandsons to stay overnight as had a two day pass to Flamingoland. Check-in was quick and easy, lovely welcoming landlady. The family room was clean and tidy, with ample room for the 4 of us. Had an evening meal there, with good childrens menu and the Breakfast next morning was delicious! Overall a very pleasant experience and the boys (ages 3 and 6) were made to feel included and welcome.. We would certainly recommend this hotel as a base for visiting the surrounding area.

We have just had 4 nights at The Chimes and would definitely go again. The room had everything you could need and was very clean. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. Breakfast was really nice, cooked by Andy, with a good choice. We managed to park just down the road from The Chimes which was ideal. Stayed here several times. The hotel is excellent, the staff are amazing, the food is so gorgeous - just too much of it ! The rooms (and we have several different ones) are warm, inviting and immaculate. All have TVs and tea making facilites with an ample choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, all are en-suite and the bathrooms are spotless along with a good supply of towels and comp toiletries. Plenty of car parking space The only downside to this place is time passes too quickly...
