"The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. This is our second stay and again found the service to be excellent. The room is clean and comfortable. The lounge/bar area and restaurant are first class.
We had a handful of points that may be worth a mention here:
Parking outside of the front of the hotel is charged at £20 for 24 hours. We chose to park in the adjacent council run parking area instead.
Having previously stayed in a River View room and been very happy with it, we this time opted for a Castle View Double. Upon arrival, we realised that we were about as close as you could get to the railway line... You can close the windows to block out the noise but there is no aircon. Instead, the room is provided with a large fan. We were concerned that we would be too warm with the window closed but it was actually fine - we ended up leaving the window open for a while in the night as the trains were infrequent and even with the window closed, the fan did the job at keeping us cool enough.
