Find hotels in Faris from £47

The best area to stay in Faris is the main village centre, particularly around the central square and the streets immediately surrounding it.

This area is the heart of Faris, offering a blend of local life and convenience. You'll find most of the village's tavernas, cafes, and shops clustered here, making it easy to access everything on foot. The central square is a natural gathering point, often hosting local events.

Couples looking for a relaxing and authentic experience will find this area particularly appealing. Staying here means you're just steps away from traditional Greek meals and the opportunity to experience the village's daily rhythm. Many accommodations in this part of Faris are guesthouses or small boutique hotels, often family-run, providing a personal touch.

For those who appreciate a quieter setting but still want to be close to amenities, staying slightly outside the immediate central square, perhaps on one of the side streets leading up the hillside, offers a good balance.

The best time to go to Faris is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, September, and early October.

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures superb for outdoor activities without the intense heat and larger crowds of mid-summer. You'll find the countryside lush and green in spring, while autumn brings a lovely golden hue to the landscape and the sea remains warm enough for swimming.

For those looking to explore the region's historical sites, like the ancient city of Mystras or the olive groves, the milder temperatures make for a much more comfortable experience. Couples seeking a romantic getaway will appreciate the quieter atmosphere and the opportunity to enjoy local tavernas and scenic drives at a more relaxed pace.

If you're a family travelling with children, these shoulder months are also ideal. The weather is suitable for beach days without being overwhelmingly hot, and attractions are less crowded, making for a more enjoyable and stress-free trip.
