This luxury private 350 m2 villa was completed in 2008;, this lovely Greek style villa surrounded by Kalamata olive trees and rose gardens, at the picturesque historic village of Megali Mandinia with panoramic sea view. 50m2 private pool, 3 terrace, 5 bedrooms with sea view, 4 bathrooms, Internal pool shower + toilet., Separate toilet, 2 living rooms with sea view, rest area near the pool with book library, fully equipped kitchen with all facilities (dish washer, microwave, oven;), large dining room, flat screen Smart TV with Netflix and film library, Music library, washing machine, Airconditioning in all 5 bedrooms. Kitries harbour with its authentic fresh seafood restaurants is a 15 minute drive. Kalamata cosmopolitan city is only 15 minutes drive offering beach front restaurant, and active night life. More Things to do: Water sports The marina in Kalamata offers many boat trips, with fishing, sailing and windsurfing all popular activities. We had a truly wonderful holiday here with plenty of space for us all and all the facilities we needed. The views were stunning and so pretty in the evening watching the sunset and the lights of Kalamata. The little village was an easy stroll for a meal at one of the three tavernas but we mostly cooked at the villa including a couple of barbecues.We visited the beaches, Kytries and Kalamata by car as they were all close by. You are definitely better off having a car but there are three tavernas in walking distance and taxis are easy to book. The pool is a really good size and plenty of sun loungers are provided. The villa is a little tricky to find from the coordinates but once you know the name it is easy. The beach nearby is lovely and the villa itself is as pictures. Views are absolutely stunning. A group of 12 people. 8 adults, 3 toddlers and a baby. The Villa is superb. very spacious, very comfortable, very clean and every thing is well maintained. Great pool, very well equipped in particular the kitchen. Good BBQ stand near the pool. The view is magnificent. As well the owner is very flexible and accessible and helped us when we faced difficulties with our flights schedule. The local agent that maintain the Villa is also available and helpful. The setting is perfect, the house is big, always cool in the middle of summer, perfectly well kept and maintained by lovely people, the pool is at the right temperature! The situation is also ideal for touring around, towards Mani, Mystra, Pylos and even Olympia, the all compass rose! Kalamata is close enough and yet far enough: you can reach it easily but also see it from far enough. We recommand the nearest taverna, Georges, Giorgious, so accomodating people. Great by all means! Luxuriously appointed Villa Elsie with a large pool, is set in an absolutely quite location minutes away from Kalamata city and the sea. Surrounded by stunning views of the mountains of Mani and the Kalamta large bay. The villa is beautiful designed. The bedrooms are gorgeous and handful including a private bathroom to each. They all open onto a large terrace with a breathtaking view all around the sea, the sunsets and the mountains behind you. Also 2 cuddling living rooms in the house. The major one has a TV/DVD stereo set, large variety of CD's with movies and music from around the world. There are also lots of books and info to read and games to play. The villa is only 20 minutes away from lively and authentic Stoupa with its sandy beaches, taverns and amenities. We enjoyed the location of the villa while making daily traveling to Pylos, Mystras, and Sparti, Aeropoli and Diros Caves, Kardamili and many more sites. The pool was a highlight of our stay. It is large enough for the swimmers and joyful for the water players. While enjoying some of the taverns we also self catered at the villa. There is a walking distance grocery, and large supermarkets downtown Kalamata. The house has an amazing view overlooking the bay, Kalamata and sunsets. House is clean and bathrooms are modern. The kitchen is a bit small for larger groups with just a half size dishwasher. Very friendly and helpful house manager (Georgious) who attended to any query promptly and a nice welcome kit in the fridge upon our arrival. Also lots of gear that could be used when going to the beach, eg sunchairs and umbrellas. A bit far to go to the closest supermarket. All in all a great week! ##### Philip S. The villa was amazing. Very clean..very well equipped. The bedrooms were all lovely. The pool was regularly cleaned. ....and the views were to die for!! This was possible as nearly all rooms were big and nice. The terrace and the pool area was beautiful and the view were even better. Furthermore, whenever we needed a bit of help or advice we called Nicola and Georgios and they were very helpful. Be aware that there are 10 minutes drive to the beach - but on the other hand the view from the house were so nice it did not matter. One improvement area is the tools in the kitchen which are a bit small and few when you want to cook several dishes for 9 adults. ##### Ole S. The rooms are big and clean, the hot water is plentiful, and the bathrooms are modern. The view over the pool to the sea is beautiful, and I think the pictures here undersell how nice it is. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning and had wine to watch the sunset each night and just couldn’t get enough of it. The pool is great as were the tavernas in the nearby village. Overall, we were really pleased with everything and we’d rent here again without hesitation. ##### Eric E. The views across the ocean are stunning, and the villa was plenty spacious enough to accommodate our group. The pool was very well taken care of, which was a big attraction for both adults and kids. The decks are all large, and we ended up eating outside every night. We had a fantastic time here. The only reason I give it 4 out 5, instead of 5, is that a couple of the mattresses were not very comfortable and the wifi was spotty. We'd be more than happy to come back again. Great stay in Villa Elsie ! The villa is new, clean, very pleasant, offers many possibilities and with an amazing view over the Messenian Gulf. Terrasses with seaview and comfortable furniture at the pool, ground, and first floor. Lovely pool with seaview and barbecue. Climate control throughout the house. Ample and fully equipped kitchen (with cold beers and wine in the fridge on arrival day !). With room for over 10 people it was more than spacious enough for us (parents and 4 teenagers) but still very cosy. Close to Kalamata in complete rest but not lonely. Historic sites such as Mystras and Ithome at approx. 1 hour drive. The route to Mystras through the Taygetos mountans is really beautifull! Lovely beaches just down-hill (south of Akrogiali, 5 minutes drive) and in Stoupa (30 minutes by car). Many affordable restaurants and Greek taverns with good quality dishes for every taste. What else would one need for a very very nice and relaxing experience ! If we were to rank it on a review site, we would give 5 out of 5 stars ! Fam. Jan from Holland ##### Les C. We are a family from the US, We stayed Villa Elsie 3 years ago. Had a great time then, and gain this year. Plenty of space, Enjoyed the evening walks to the restaurants in the village. We had a fantastic week. The facilities were great and it is very well maintained. The views are breathtaking. We had a relaxing week spending most of the time in the gorgeous pool. Perfect for a family holiday. The villa is situated in a really peaceful location, utterly tranquil. We enjoyed the evening walks to the village with its three equally good tavernas offering fantastic views across the gulf, perfect to go and watch the sunset. The local beaches and secluded coves are within easy reach. I would not hesitate in recommending Villa Elsie, perfect if you want to go and unwind.
