"Convenient for hikes uphill and along the coast. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant incredibly convenient after a long day. The place gets a whole extra star for the rooftop jacuzzi - a blessing after a long hiking day. Clean, simple but comfortable rooms. The hotel may want to add curtains for the light sleepers like me. But overall i'd warmly recommend the location."

"Was not able to enjoy amenities because of the weather and early departure but the view looked lovely. The floor in our room was VERY noisy and the bathroom could do woth some updating. The shower curtain was old and discoloured and the shower faucet very basic and flew all over the place unless you held it. Had dinner at the restaurant and the food was not great. Breakfast looked good but we didn't have time to enjoy as we had a flight to catch. Staff were wonderful!"

"First the house: spacious, loads of light, stunning view, lots of kitchen equipment, clothes washing and drying machines. Brand new house, you only need to show up and enjoy at the Infinite pool Second the service: the best service I have ever had while travelling and staying in private managed properties outside hotels. The booking, the check in and the check out simply brilliant!! Strongly recommend"

"This property did not meet expectations and did not match the listing description. Several key details in the listing are inaccurate. The property is described as having a washer and dryer, but there is only a washing machine. No dryer is available, and no laundry detergent was provided, which made basic laundry needs inconvenient during the stay. The location description is also misleading. The listing suggests the property is at a casino and golf course, but it is not. It is a four-unit building located in the middle of a small village. While Santana itself is quiet and peaceful and about a 40-minute drive to Funchal, the description does not reflect the actual setting. The cleanliness of the unit was below standard, and the towels provided were very rough and uncomfortable. Overall, aside from liking the quiet location, the stay did not align with the listing or typical expectations for a vacation rental. Due to inaccurate information and the condition of the property, I would not recommend staying here."
