Lixouri

"The apartment is in a very central position in Lixouri. Ideal for the square, the ferry and all that Lixouri has to offer. The apartment was clean when we arrived, was cleaned once during our stay - perfect for us. It is well refurbished and had all the amenities we needed and as described. We had good sleeps (apart from the church bells on Sunday morning but this is to be expected in any Greek town). Good bed and pillows. Excellent blinds to keep it dark. Very nice balcony for two people...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Evreti?

The best area to stay in Evreti is the coastal villages surrounding the main bay, particularly those offering direct access to the sea and amenities. For couples seeking a peaceful and scenic escape, the area around Vroutsi is an excellent choice. This part of Evreti offers stunning sea views and a more secluded feel, with properties often located into the hillsides. You'll find a selection of high-end villas and boutique hotels here, superb for a relaxing getaway. While it feels private, it's still just a short drive to nearby tavernas and small beaches.Families often find the area near the village of Agia Effimia particularly appealing. This village has a charming harbour with several family-friendly restaurants and cafes right by the water. There are also a few small, pebble beaches within easy walking distance, ideal for children.

When is the best time to go to Evreti?

The best time to visit Evreti is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, September, and early October. These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for exploring the island and enjoying the beaches, without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming, and the natural landscape is at its most verdant. For couples seeking a relaxing escape, these periods are ideal. You can enjoy quiet strolls through olive groves, dine alfresco at waterfront tavernas, and experience the island's natural beauty in a more tranquil setting. The slightly fewer visitors mean a more intimate experience at popular spots.Families travelling with younger children might also find these times preferable. The milder temperatures are more comfortable for little ones, and the beaches are less crowded, offering a more relaxed environment for swimming and playing.
